/me *bids a final farewell to gatecrasher*
you know, at least i had plentiful good times in that place... back when gatecrasher was at the forefront of trance-music, and indeed, at the forefront of the UK clubbing experience. Back in the days when the management actually had a clue what they were doing. When GC went monthly last year i knew for a fact this was the end of gatecrasher as we know it, and now i can safely say that this diabolical money making scheme will definatly be the straw that broke the camels back.
Goodbye gatecrasher, at least i had 2 years of good nights out of you.

It was good while it lasted.
With the current trend for RnB Crap and Scooter/DJ Sammy style trance it was only time till the big clubs buckled under the bills..

WTF a 'lifestyle club brand' what wont they brand...
'elegant clubbing' again WTF, if ur arrogant enuff n into that whole smooth dress to impress scene and can afford the coke!
Ostrich skin effect finished boxes, what will they come up with next, silk dance floors, serve beer in decanters n pills on silver trays... i know clubbing is an experience, but man i hope we're all there for the tunes and the people not the decor. |

these days the music industry is based on $$$$ and the good old fashioned passion for 'the music' is dying, GC has now joined that wanky circle and like Mag said they will follow the same path as Ministry.

Oh well thank for techno.
Ive had some good times at crasher and thats what i'll remember the place of. Theres no chance im going with these new ideas they have planned. |

it souds like it might be quite cool inside.. but the music policy can right off.. and why do they feel the need to call it "crasher"???? i though they were going for a more 'upmarket' crowd.. so why call it a slang name?

i think they're talkin about the little funky house room at crasher... as there's vestax already in there. doubt they'll take technics away from the main room.

sounds to me like they simon fuking raine is being a twat and only letting people in if they look they have loads of money - ie dress a certain way etc....i rekon they r tryin to fill the club up with the twats that have lots of attitude and designer labels - the inside of the club is gonna b all poshed up - no spilling ur drinks or being sik on the floor (harry) they r making it into sum kinda cool place to b seen (or trying to) where uberfunkatrons sit n drink pink champagne, music played in the background......why not spend money on gettin sum fukin awesome line ups or doin gc ibiza or even sss? cos they r changing the whole gc era into a new beginning of prentious ness........howeva i may b wrong and i hope that i am |
