Now we're gonna intervene in Liberia.
They have a very bad civil war there and the US is gonna send troops.
After saving the Middle East and Asia I guess it's time to pay some attention to Africa.
The US army is stretched thin, but Liberia calls. |

Ah, right.
Actually, my sister has a friend who is stationed right across from the DMZ (on the Sotu Korean side, obviously). So hopefully NK won't erupt like Liberia. |

Our troops are more important than that.
We should NOT go into Liberia, why should we die??? WHY SHOULD AMERICANS DIE??? They should not, they are more valuable than that. |

| Anyone find it odd that Howard Dean is pressing to go into Liberia after he vehemently protested going into Iraq? Funny that the UN wants our help to go in now? hmph...politics. |

| Isn't it true that Liberia more or less was founded by former slaves from the U.S.? And that the U.S. has been in some ways involved in the country since day one? Anyways, that's what I can read in my local newspapers. Some pundits think the U.S. don't only have an interest in Liberia but also an obligation because of it's special history. Hence some democrats/liberals urging for intervention there. |
