this is from an aussie forum:

The man is the walking definition of practise makes perfect.
I remember sitting at his place in the Liverpool days when he sat there all day mastering the trick of beatmixing 20 tracks in less than 5 minutes... and he nailed it too.
I'm looking forward top the comp, it will be wicked |

In a word - yes.
But if you think about it...
32 beats @ 138bpm = 14 seconds.
But I can't see how you can change vinyls, cue it up, and mix decently in 32 beats - you'd just need to slam the crossfader, and that ain't mixing... |

yep. and with only that long to play each record, it's not long enough to evaluate whether the mix is bang on or not. it could be in the ballpark, but in a 5 second mix that's all they have to be is close.
you wanna hear quick mixing, listen to Bad Boy Bill. his newest CD is 60 minutes, and i think it has 32 tracks. not quite as impressive as 20 in 5 minutes, but, it's a wicked CD.
I've heard unconfirmed rumours that bad boy bill has all his records recorded and repressed at a certain BPM so he doesn't have to pitch match them, just throws em on the decks and cues it up and drops it. |

i had a go last night got to about 15 records in 6-7mins... i rekon i could get alot closer if i had tracks with no intro, defined bass, a faster bass and no breakdowns.
and if you did it on 3 or 4 decks youd be able to see how close to perfect you got! |

each mix of mine (NOT including choosing the track, cueing it up, matching the pitch, etc.....) lasts about 1-1.5 minutes..... |
