Record stores...Detroit area

| Anyone know any good record stores? I'm in dearborn..anywhere within driving distance is good. I don't think I'll have any problems finding hip hop, haha...but trance vinyl I haven't really found any good places yet. Hit me up with some recommendations. |

| record town rite on gratiot hmm dunno what mile but i go there and they even got some technics u can spin the vinyls on before buyin em!!! so good! |

Niice...I was hoping for a place with turntables and everything.
7 mile sound right? There's one there...
Heh, I actually immediately crossed all the record towns off of my list of places to check. There are record towns near me at my parents' house in MD and by my house at Penn State....and all of them only have cds. Never really understood why they were called record towns...but now I know. Guess my houses are in a "no-record" market. Sort of tells you how great the whole scene is down there...

| If you have the time, you could check out Dearborn Music on Michigan Ave. (I think its on the corner of Michigan and Monroe.... not too sure tho.) What I mean by that is that you have to search through all of the singles to find anything, but every once in a while, you'll find a gem or two. *shrug* Just a thought. |

Heh, yeah I've definitely been there...that was the first place I checked. And they gave me the "DJ discount" without even checking for a card...if that says anything about the quantity of records purchased :toothless |

I just thought of another store, but they have some pretty good vinyls.
DJ Supply on Ford and Merriman. Its a little far away from Dearborn, but they have some good, imported stuff. The other DJ Supply (Which I've never been to) is supposed to be better tho. I think its on 13 Mile and Ryan. |
