"BONZAI IS BACK!
Just as you thought you would never see it again....
Yes, you read it right, Bonzai is back... or is it Banshee is born?!
Well actually both are true, but we’ll stick with the second part first “Banshee is Born”… wtf is that?? Banshee Worx is a new independent company founded by 4 friends that went thru a difficult period the last couple of months as a result of the closure of Lightning Records. Maybe an introduction is at place here: first there’s Yves Deruyter - undoubtfully Belgiums finest deejay at this moment -, second there’s L-Vee - undoubtfully Belgiums future in progressive dance-pop - third there’s Marnik, Bonzai’s former international manager, undoubtfully the meanest man in the bizz, and last but not least there’s Fly, owner of Bonzai, undoubtfully undecided at what he's good at… !
“Bonzai is Back”…again true, Banshee Worx has signed the license of the Bonzai trademark, so…be prepared, be ready, because we’ll be re-launching some old labels such as Green Martian, Progrez, Rebelgrooves, … and of course all the Bonzai labels. Is that all I hear u thinking!? Hell NO…u’ll be meeting some old friends as well, such as Push, Yves Deruyter, Airwave, Philippe Van Mullem, Fire and Ice and many more…
The Banshee Worx Team.

The DJs view on the news:
Jon O'Bir: "This is great news for the industry, Bonzai were my favourite labels and I was very sad when they shut down, its great to see them return!"
From the Producer's point of view:
L-vee: "kick ass dude"
"Bonzai Music / Banshee update
The successor to Bonzai / Lightningrecords is finally revealing more details about their first few releases. Updated!
The first release on the new label will be released the 14th of July, from none other than Push. The track is going to be Journey of Life and will include a massive Rank 1 Remix!
Airwave takes the second release for his account, with When Things Go Wrong, also on the record is an exclusive remix. You can expect this the 21st of July
The third release and the fourth release are both available to us the 28th of July. One being the long awaited Lolo successor to Melody: Extended Horizon, the other being a new collaboration between L-Vee and Yves Deruyter, named Squad - Here We in' Go..." |
