Ok this may seem like a dumb question but you can now buy Digital Radio In Car CD players also In home Digital Radio Players, does mean you can put an Ip address in your Car Sterio and drive all over wireless listenning to di.fm , and tune into whatever you want, e.g shoutcast servers or even your home winamp broadcast ?

like how does the Ariel recieve a TCP/IP connection from wireless all the way from Holland to UK if you wanted to listen to di.fm,

coz digital radio does you IP addreses and not FM / AM Frequencys , ???????

A digital radio only picks up DAB (digital audio broadcast) stations like the BBC radio stations and other commercial stations like Virgin, Kiss and some digital only stations like Core & Life (depending on what regional networks you can pick up signals from in your area). However, what you can't do is pick up any internet streams. The DAB radio is not connected to the internet, it just picks up radiowaves of digital stations. Note that in-car digital radios probably have a regular FM radio built in as well, so that they can pick up the FM signal of a station if the DAB signal is lost.

There aren't really any good DAB dance stations (other than radio 1 & Kiss at certain times); Ministry of Sound Radio is internet-only now.
