Sunjam…the infamous annual festival that takes place on Water Caye off the island of Utila. If you haven’t heard about Sunjam, then this is the place to get all your information from…. If you have heard about it already then you’ve probably reorganized your trip to make sure you’ll be here for it! Don’t forget… this year Sunjam takes place on the 2nd of of August. This will undoubtedly be the best party of the year in the whole of Central America. We guarantee you an experience of a lifetime on this paradise island with 36 hours of the finest music, shows and pure party pleasure.
The Sunjam event starts on Saturday morning as the crowds gather at the main dock in Utila where the Tonia C. party boat awaits to deliver every one to our exotic venue. Once the boat is full the cruise departs with the speakers pumping and the crowd seething with anticipation.
All day long other boats arrive bringing people to a selection of grooving tunes and food and drink from the numerous barbecues and bars set up for this special occasion. As the sun goes down the party picks up and water caye turns into a place that has to be seen to be believed. Djs from around the world play everything from reggae to big beat, from deep house to hard hitting techno guaranteeing to keep you dancing all night long. As the sun rises the barbecues are fired up to serve well deserved breakfasts to all the party goers and once reenergized, the dance floors are filled with a roaring mass of people.
