Differences in Pioneer CDJ Models

Hey, I'm going to be investing in a pair of Pioneer CDJs soon and I was wondering what is the best bet. I was looking at 100S, but now I see a 700 on ebay for a pretty cheap price too. I am not in a position to buy 1000s and these are to be used in addition to my 1200s.
So Is the 700 worth it over the 100? Or any other model Pioneer besides the 1000? |

My freind has the 100s and he likes them alot there allright i usually spin at partys hes djing at when hes getting wasted and i can use em. Truth is i really love my psx's there newer and they have all the stuff the 100's has with a few more gizmos.
The differance with the 1000's is that they bring it closer back to the vinil feel so you can get used to them allot easer also allot of clubs have these as well as the denion cdj's. anyways if you get a 100 youll be able to get used to the clubs ones in no time and they also preform great themselves. Though i recomend the psx's :stongue:
But its your call. just dont go for anything without a jog wheel or its getting to far away from the club type cd players and it will be hard to make the transition. |

what's that?
and for the original question:
if my memory serves me right then the cdj-700 is the same as cdj-500s (or what ever it's called). although the cdj-500/700 has more features that the cdj-100s i've heard from many people that in their opinion the cdj-100s is better. i hear it's easier to use (more logical) and because it has got the slot-in mechanism it won't break as easy as the 500/700 which has some kind of manufacturing error there on the opening mechanism.
i personally haven't tried the 500/700. i've only played around with one cdj-100s, since i'm still saving to get another, but IMO it works really well. i think i've never heard a bad word about the cdj-100s. if i were you i'd go for the cdj-100s! :D |

| I think the psx which is being refered to in this thread is the PSX model manufactured by American Audio. My friend has it and says it is great value for money for the features. |
