Tascam X15 Mixer - what's u'r opinion?

From the looks of it and the reputed name of the manufacturer this mixer looks like a good buy for $250. However, it's not stocked by the local retailers - it needs to be special ordered.

This got me thinking whether it was because it was not a popular model and hence not kept in the stores' inventory or whether the mixer design itself was problematic to have been removed from the shelves for quality reasons.

Does anyone have any opinons?

Here's a small pic, click it for a blown up view:

There's also an upgraded version the X17 that has extras like the selection between the CF curves and level monitoring of the Cue & PGM. I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $200 though.

Any opinion with the X15 mixers would be appreciated!! :D
Thanks!

The Tascam X-9 is a brilliant mixer, the dual fx and sound quality are brilliant. It was a pity there was only hip hop records in the shop I was trying it out at, otherwise I would have had some serious fun!
