hotels in DC area by GLOW.

ok so a bunch of us NYTA's are going down for PvD and i was curious if some of you people that live in DC could help us out. we are looking for a safe neighbourhood (heard some areas are shady, just like any other city; problem is i am not aware of these areas as i have never been to DC before) by glow.
anyone have any suggestions for a good, clean, safe, relatively priced hotel in DC? even a neighbourhood suggestion would be great! i.e.- georgetown.

I always stay at the Renaissance Hotel(owned by Marriot), about 3 blocks away from GLOW. It is a nice hotel, and they have a parking garage underneath the hotel. An easy walk to the club as well. Here is the info. I dont know how their rates are these days, I havent been down there in awhile... but it isn't bad if you sleep 4 to a room. Good luck.

| me and my friends stayed at the J.W. Merriot. its like 5 blocks away from Glow but its only $120 a night for 4 people. |

| I just stayed in an awesome hotel in nyc and the location is better than any hotel in the area. I used hotwire to get it and I think it might be the only hotel around 100 dollars that is in the dc area that is a 4.5 star hotel. The hotel is called hotel monaco and is just amazing. The cross streets are 7th and F street. There is free wine between 4:30-5:30 and the service was incredible. I would definitely go there again. I asked the front desk and the normal price is 149. My friends stayed at the renaissance marriot and were disappointed that they didn't stay at our hotel since they would have saved a great deal of money. |

this one is a block from glow, i usually park by it. glow is on 6th and h, this hotel is on 7th and h (even though it says it's on 395). i've gone to the bathroom there a couple times, the lobby and restrooms are nice enough and i don't think it's a seedy place. i don't think the picture they show is the actual hotel either... |

| I have a hotel room reserved at the Hyatt like 5 blocks from Glow. It is only $80 and it is Hyatt. I got lucky cuz everywhere else I tried to get it, the rate was like $120. Oh yeah, the Red Roof has is full, I already tried that. Anyways thats what they said on their website. PM me if anyone needs the link to stay at the place I am staying at. I had to search awhile to find it. |
