No I disagree. I believe that Mindcircus is a sad love song. she's using sleep as a metaphor. Sleep is the escape. It's obvious she's talking about someone else in the song by how she says, "I want to wake up without you, near" and how she needs space. |

I agree 100%
For my English final paper last semester we had to analyze a set of lyrics of our choice. Guess which lyrics I chose? :)
I wrote a 6 page double spaced analysis of mindcircus :) |

Charlie Biddle Trio- Les Feuilles Mortes
(same song basically in english instead of french- Diana Krall- Autumn Leaves)
I recommend both. You dont have to be a hardcore jazz lover to appreciate it. |
