Axioma - Emptiness Beneath (D Nord remix)

This one is my newest track. Original (also by me) came out two years ago and despite unsophisticated production remains one of my favorites. The D Nord version differs a lot from the Original with only hint of original melodies. However this version presents much more modern sound and balanced production.

don't hesitate and directly download or listen here:

Not bad, I like the drums, it's definatly very chill. I also like the pads, waiting to see if they come out front at all though. They seem pretty far back in the background. I think the word "Chill" describes this very well. It's unique too though and thats always good. I think that this guy goes very well with the song. Hee hee... I don't know.
Not bad just very chill. Keep it up! :thepirate
Axioma
thanks for feedback. This track is quite chill - that's true. However, if you turn up the volume the tribal drums do give this track some energy. I do have some more upbeat productions under Axioma but they all lack the producion quality of this track.
As for chill, check out

this one is true chill...

Your right this is very chill. I like your beats though they move along nicely, this nice sounding. It seems like music for slow motion parts in movies, like a build to something intense that is about to happen. :)
Axioma
funny you say that, I have been contacted by couple of directors about putting that song into movies and a computer game :) Will see what happens.
Airyck Sterrett
Thats cool, I think it would work very well in a part of a movie, I was imagining something happening in a movie while I was listening to it. Good luck with that I hope something happens with it. :D

Not to keen on that kick, sounds very thin on my monitors.

The track on whole is nice, alot more percussion is needed in my opinion, and some fx. Pads and stuff are kool. That percussion begins to get on my nerves after 9 minutes :D
Axioma
Yeah, I think I do need more variation in percussion but the kick has plenty subsonic frequencies. But anyway I'll see what I can do, thanks for feedback.

btw, which track did you refer to?:) Lighthouse or Emptiness Beneath...cause; lighthouse does have very light kicks...but not Emptiness I think. And both are 9 minutes...

Emptiness Beneath (D Nord Remix) is pretty good, I dig the tribal feel to it. I like how you used the piano softly in the background. The piano might sound cheesy if you made it louder or in the foreground. At 8:08 it seems like my mp3 skips, it just jumps to having nothing but percussion, is it supposed to sound like that? It actually skips beats, it's not just elements of the song dropping out. Please fix that, it'd ruin the track if I use it in a set (which I'd like to). I would probably mix out of the track after seven minutes the way it's structured right now.... It's a very long track, but the amount of complexity doesn't warrant it being that long. There's not much new happening in minutes 12-17. If you restructure, I'd love to hear a new version.

Axioma
well I just checked my mp3 and the one on the site and one thing I know for sure is there is no 12-17 minutes because the track is 9:20 as a whole. It's 13,126 KB to be precise. Also as far as I can see there is no skipping @ 8:08 and couple of background synths stay with track for a while more. So it looks to me like you somehow joined two file in one...? That's why it proly skips. I think redownloading should help. Otherwise; thanks for the feedback and if you do end up using it in the set let me know where I can download it.
DJ Dingel
hah... somehow I ended up with a 24 MB file, I'll download the file again and be spinning it in a set sometime soon.
