Question about fruity loops and midis

I'm not getting any sound when I import a midi into Frooty loops. All my audio configurations are correct, I think.
Anyone around here know what I'm doing wrong? |

From what i understand you cant get any audio from imported midis.
Insert different synths or samples into the channels where the stuff from the midi is.
That's what i do anyhow. |

I understand that part. Midi signals just trigger sound. I just cant quite figure out how to tell it what sound to trigger. Guess I'll have to play around with it some more.
I'll take a hardware synth over this software stuff any day. |

| hmm, if you mean you are writing a melody with the midi out generator, make sure youve assigned a patch (ive got a nagging feeling im misunderstanding you heh) |

Thats exactly what I needed to know. Thans for the help. If I would have taken 5 more minutes to play with it instead of asking here, I would have figured it out.
