I went to see him yesterday, stayed with him for a long time. His sugar level is going down faster than last time thank God, but they still have to stabilize him because it can jump back up at any time. He is not allowed to eat nor drink anything, they have him on an iv.
They moved him to a room last nite, but since the SARS scare, now St. Joseph's only allows 1 visitor per day/per patient. I didn't know that yesterday and since I was there before anyone not even his father could come up at night to see him, but I made sure to let E*Master know he was there to see him but couldn't.
I will go see him again on wednesday, will stay with him for most of the day again. I'll print this thread since I'm sure it will make him very happy to read all your best wishes to him.
I'll keep you all informed of any changes.

| time2burn and i were scheduled to go tomorrow but now becasue JAz says taht only one visitor is allowed per day, we had to cnacel that :( |

Thanx for planning to go visit him guys. That would've made him feel better.
I am pissed off about that rule:whip:--who makes this anyways? SARS is now very much over, not even the nurses or doctors wear masks or anything like that anymore. arrgghh...I just have to take it for now I guess.
If it changes (hopefully it does & soon) I will make sure to let you all know. |

It seems like a silly rule but SARS is a hospital based disease and thus should have the proper precautions taken. It's a lot easier to screen 1 visiter/person/day than say 5-10. I know, I don't necessarily agree with it but I think it needs to be done. As long as he knows that everybody is thinking of him, that should be enough. |
