How rare is the Lost Tribe - Gamemaster 12"? (pg. 3)

I guess I was a bit lucky, but I bought 2 copies of one of the two original Hooj releases (Signum & Matt Darey remixes) from Juno for about £5 each about three months ago. Also bought a white label of the "Distant Voices EP" with "Angel" & "Gamemaster" from Plastic Fantastic the other week, also about £5.

no, mine is actually one Orbit, must be a subsidiary of Hooj or something, because the record looks like a hooj choons promo.

mine has all the original, both remixes, AND under the red sea, all on one vinyl:

Nice one m8, that's the one I've been after for awhile now. Saw it on eBay a little while ago but went for $30. :(

I have the one with the '99 Mix and Signum mix. '99 Mix is better than the Signum, but still not as good as the Original. :)

Paid £2.99 for it from HMV. Like a lot of tunes it's available everywhere when it first comes out, then becomes hard to find later.

A Angel (8:59)
B Gamemaster (8:00)

cd owns that vinyl...

£2.99 HMV ;]

any even tho its from 1997, its as good as new as its a cd. I play it all the time and that why i wouldnt pay £30+ for a vinyl when i can pay £1 for a CD in hooj's sale at the moment.

I must mention that both tiesto and pvd at amnesia 2 weeks ago both used more cds than vinyl, especially tiesto, he was in his cd wallet 2/3 tracks.

times are changing.. and cd players are starting to spin (i.e. hte full size jog wheel on the latest denon player actualy spins at 33rpm and respons identically like a vinyl would)

lets not start a debate here about cd vs vinyl, but i really dont see the point of buying a so called 'rare' track for 'x' amount of money in a delapadated format when you can buy it for £1 brand new on CD. just my 2 cents...

CD mixers with auto-beat matching - such skill involved in mixing!

Sounds like a blast.

You already answered your own question. ;)

The vinyl I paid £3 for is worth 10 times that now.

The CD you bought is now worth a third of what it was.

Simple fact is that despite CDs being better value for money on the pound per track scale, long term investment is nothing.

The label you're looking for is Massive Drive Recordings, but I wouldn't call it ty. They've been releasing all the Three Drives stuff (Carrera 2, Sunset on Ibiza, etc).

On top of that, when's the last time you owned a rare cd?

With the prevalent bootlegging in today's society, vinyl sales are a major component in keeping the genre alive. If CD's, and all the illegalities that go along with them, overtake vinyl as the mixing medium of choice, it could have some very negative repercussions for the trance genre.

Plus, vinyls sound better.

Never seen an autobeat matching CD mixers. For all i know, most places use CDj100s or 1000s. I know the cdj100's dont have auto beat match function.

Heres my point.

If you cant find a record you are looking for on vinyl anywhere, the next best solution is CDR  So stop bashing CD technology just because it doesnt look "cool" to you, as the crowd doesnt give a what format you use.

Who said anything about vinyl looking cooler than CD? I know I didn't.

Vinyl sounds better.

Sounds better? I dont think you can hear a audible difference. If anything, i think CD sounds better because it doesnt have the crackles like in some vinyls. I dont want to argue with you about this, since i do think vinyl is better because you can see the loud and quiet parts, long long the record is, and its easier to manipulate. If you have money to pay >$30 for one vinyl go for it, id much rather buy the CD that costs less:rolleyes:
