I really don't get why ppl rant about thease headphones so much....
I have mine for about 6 months now and they're still as good as new. the sound quality is awsome, as well as the isolation and comfort.
the boosted up mid-bass only makes them better for mixing cause you can hear the beat better and more clearly..... (I find it an advantage when I mix)
I believe they can last a really long time if the owner doesn't abuse them, drop them, or do scientific experiments on them or something...
on the other hand, I was in a DJ shop the other day, and I tried on the new technics..... sound quality and volume are about the same as the sony's.... but it doesn't cover up the whole ear (bad isolation) and the way it folds and unfolds gives you a feeling it's gonna break in your hand.... not to mention the fact it kept falling off my head becauce it kept folding back in..... oh! and someone once told me they're all made out of metal.... WRONG! they're plastic like all headphones.....
good choice, bloodflower!! :D you'll love them!!!! |

hypersonic: i've had mine for 3 years now, and still they are as good as new. sounds as the very first day i used them, and the only thing i've managed to broke (which took me about 2.5 years, and lots of alcohol) is to get 2 very small cracks on each side at the thingy that holds it together, and as you say, it was my own fault "abusing" them *shame on me*
i will never regret the 1800,- nok (200-220 €) i spent on them, that's for sure! |

| The price should really be on a per year basis because they will break so much. |

| Exactly. There's nothing wrong with them at all. If they break it's only coz ur to fat and clumsey, and not to mention dumb, and don't deserve such a piece of marvelous technology to come anywhere near you. |

The sony headphones do tend to break alot more often than many other brands, especially for their price. I hope you got the warranty. :thepirate |
