Here is two things I would like to talk about...the first is file sharing and here I would give my opinions on it and the second my favorite groups starting with the old stuff and working down with the new stuff

first of all, the arguement sounds good when you hear the recording music industry and loud mouth politicians talk about cracking down of people who supposedly illegally download files..sure they have a point but these arguements relies on people's ignorance on the way file sharing work these days...file sharing these days like kazaa, morpheus and grokster doesn't have any central server system..they rely on millions of their avid users to use their imagination to rip and share Cds online..you will not believe that some of the older songs they just refused to release anymore in the store are on the online file sharing system...

then there is the item of cost...a CD only cost a if not a dollar but a few dollars to make and you can purchase a CD-R or CD-RW that amounts to as little as 40 cents at the store each whereas you go to the music store and pay $20 or so for it while artists who continues to make millions of dollars and living in huge mansions while we are stuck living in cramped apartments, and skid row hotels..the music quality albeit might for now have surpassed those of the ones thirty years ago because a lot of musicians are starting to rely on the compositon and meaning behind their work...

Hey some of the older sounds are awesome...Now get this you should try listening to these artists...I purchased these groups when I was living in California and they don't sale them anymore..you should try anything by Tamba 4 their classic song is "Pais Tropical" or John McLaughlin and his Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Apocalypse" and "The Last Trident Session"...Anything by Jaco Pastorious..you should know that he used to play for Weather Report..

Hey I know that they are old but those are hot quality sounds...You can try to use what you call internet radio..I use Netscape radio..what I like about theirs is that they still carry out the old and even some newer stuff such as hip hop and electronica..there you can download some high quality artists

The only thing that I don't like about it is the injustice it does towards Latin and Bossa Nova sounds...you miss out on good artists like John Santos and Giovanno Hidalgo
