It hit me on a trip to london zoo with my girlfriend, just how far certain negative elements are starting to take over todays youth, and before you think to post, I am not pigeon holding all of todays youth, just certain elements.
It never used to be like it, back up a couple of years, and there are things going on today that would of never of happened back then. I am 20, and am by no means old. When walking through london zoo, i overheard a kid of about 12-13 years old, on a school trip, talking about how his girlfriend gives him head (slang for blowjob),
I cant believe that kids would be doing the sort of thing at that early point in their life, people wonder why there are so many teenage pregnacies. We had a kid of 15 in our shop (millets)who threatened to, and these are his words "do me over" for no reason, why would a kid speak like that, to someone that is over 5 years older, is it due to bad parenting? or just a total lack of respect?
It seems that with every new year of kids emerging, that things are getting progressivly worse, a friend of mine got taken advantage of, by her 14 yr old boyfriend, what is the world coming too. I would of never done, or said the things, that i have heard and witnessed. When I do see kids that are acting like decent individuals, It make me think how lucky the people around them are.
Is the youth of the uk getting more out of control, discuss. |

I think the older you get the more responsible you HAVE to be ... like nobody is going to force you to work, you either work or you starve. When you're a kid, you have the option of not giving two s about anything, so usually you don't give two s about anything. That's why when we were kids we resented the fact that our parents were so controlling, we didn't care and usually we didn't have to face up to the full responsibility of our actions. Now that we're adults, we look at what kids do and we're like, wtf ... why don't you use your brain you stupid kid? But yea, I blame the movement of this period of not caring to younger and younger kids on bad parenting. |

^^ occrider is right on track!!!
Youth of today are more inclined to experiment earlier as there is more available to them at an earlier stage in life, its just the way things are, unfortunately kids are without worries, but we as mature people tend to respect others and our actions.. well at least i do anyways... |

Its not all young children, its mainly the pikey kids who live on estates and the like.
Notice i said mainly!
Anyway, it is due to various forms of bad parenting. Parents basically act that way at home, the children copy them and so on and so forth. Fortunately, those with some inkling of dignity do try hard to raise their children well, but there peers (the really pikey ones) will influence them as well. Basically, the next time that happens just beat him the up and he won't even think twice about mouthing off at ya! |

| I've noticed that the kids in my area also act like how you said, people at a younger age are doing things that I wouldn't of thought when I was there age, such as one of my mate's brother who is 14 and has friends as young as 12 that are asking me and my mate and other mates of ours for weed and to buy them cigarettes and they talk about girls in such a way that we wouldn't of though when we were 12 |

| im all the way here in los angeles, usa and im noticing the exact same thing...u should see how sum of the 12 and 13 yr old girls in middle school here dress, its crazy...im also 20 and i dont remember seeing or hearing kids do or say the things that they do these days, at such a young age...i also think that its not just bad parenting, it prolly also has to do with so much sexual innuendo in so many of the ads that we see these days, and everybody is bombarded with such ads all the time, so its bound to have an effect on kids |

I'm 14, True there are girls at 14-17 who are total sluts, but then you got the nice ones that get to know you before going into that sort of thing. I mean my mate been with the one girl for ages and he tells me stuff they do which i have done as well. Do you find that wrong? And i'm positive your generation did what we do today, probab'y not on as large a scale, or pehaps you had a very sheltered lifestyle and weren't very alerted to what your peers did.
Anyways, just putting in a good word for all those teenagers out there. |

Im sure there are many instances of good behavior by teenagers, but I can't condone 12-13 yr olds engaging in oral sex, while the limit is 16, and when I was just starting secondary school, I had no contact with that sort of life style, nor is it an acceptable thing to be doong at that age.
If you are consenciating and you use protection, then atleast you are doing something right, but all these teenagers wheeling around push chairs, and scracthing their heads, what did they think would happen.
Ive seen 14 yr old girls going round wearing a fish net shirt and bra underneath, what are they trying to do to themselves, decent blokes, arnt after people like that. |
