News flash today from his site:

"Paul van Dyk has to cancel US Tour

Paul van Dyk caught a severe case of food poisoning this morning (Friday, July 18th) on the island of Ibiza. Due to the resulting dehydration and exhaustion diagnosed by mediacal personnal there Paul van Dyk cannot to travel until further notice and as a result must postpone the planned appearances in the US this weekend and next week. Every effort will be made to accommodate everyone by scheduling make-up dates as soon as possible and we sincerly apologize for any inconvenience caused by these unfortunate events."

This, just 36 hrs after I bought my ticket to DC to go see him. So many TA's were flying and driving in for this gig. Debating whether to cancel the flight, and I only have 3 hrs to decide, and I'll be on the road working. Not convenient at all.......

Maybe it is THAT bad. It is well known that PvD never cancels a gig for no reason and if he ever does, he doesn't do it lightheartedly at all.

Quit that PvD bashing just b/c you are - very understandably - upset and such cancellation even costs you money. happens and it happens to PvD, too. No one to blame.

I second that. Food poisoning could have happened to anybody. Even though I understand how frustrated are those who intended to go:(
