Anyways, you guys have all been great!!!! Lets just hope all major trance DJs start to respect or even join us!

Dear Visitor,
The summer has started. Finally! For any DJ the summer
must be the highlight of the year. There are loads of
festivals, big parties and raves all over the world. It's
always very exciting to see which records will be big this
year, which parties will be best and which amazing
nights this summer will have to offer.
For me, the year so far has been great. My album has
been very well received and sales are through the roof.
We got a lot of very positive reviews about
our new site. (Thank you!) I've played a couple of very
memorable gigs already.
First of all, Sensation rocked. It was a great honour for
me to be back this year. Already four weeks in advance
I started thinking about my set. The atmosphere was
enormous. Although I'm a big fan of clubs, such a huge crowd
just takes your breath away. Perhaps the only disadvantage
of such a huge crowd is that you can't please everyone.
Because you're on a high stage, you can't interact with
the crowd as much as I would like to. But then again, |
seeing all those hands when I first played my Motorcycle
mix just gave me shivers all over. When you've been
working on a remix for over three weeks, day and night,
to see a crowd react on your remix like that is just
the best thing that can happen to you.
What amazed me even more is the people in Calgary
the next day. It was quite heavy to travel to Canada the
day after Sensation. But when I got there, it seemed that
EVERYONE heard my mix of "As The Rush Comes" already...
So I finished the remix on Thursday, played it on
Sensation Saturday, and there where people in Calgary
on Sunday, holding huge signs with: "Armin, please
play your mix of Motorcycle". That's the power of Internet
I guess.
Another thing that I'm really excited about is the
"TA-meetings", as they call them. TA is short for
www.tranceaddict.com, a huge website about trance, progressive
and everything surrounding it. It's like a very big
virtual community. Some of these guys e-mailed my
management, asking for a meet-up in Montreal a few weeks
ago when I played Aria. So we did, and for
the first meeting quite a few "TA's" showed up.
It was great to finally talk to a lot of people who love what
you do and to hear what they like or dislike. The meeting
was such a huge success that we did the same thing in
Calgary and in Miami last weekend. I just got back from
Miami and New York, and I'm just so surprised so many
people turned up and talk with each other about music and
DJ-ing. It's really great to meet the people that love the
music so much.
I'm also very pleased to inform you, 76 will be released
in the USA on the 23rd of September. From October 1 I'll
be doing a large tour in the US and Canada. These are the
confirmed venue's:
Necto /Ann Arbor, Aria/ Montreal, Guvernment/ Toronto,
Dagobert/ Quebec city, 1015/San Fransisco, Circus/ Los Angeles
and Arc/ New York City.
