How do I connect a Roland ep-7 keyboard to a Soundblaster Live Value soundcard?

I've borrowed my sisters Roland ep-7 keyboard so that I can use it with Reason 2.0, but I don't know how to connect it to my Soundblaster Live Value soundcard. There don't appear to be any midi ports on the soundcard. Am I stuffed hear and need a better soundcard or is there some other way to connect them.

The keyboard has a midi in and a midi out port. My sister also gave me a bunch of cables but none of them seem to fit. The keyboard has those half moon plugs (5 pins in a semi circle shape), and my soundcard has basic headphone style plugs, and one plug that looks like a serial cable port only with 15 pins. Says in manual that that is the "keyboard/midi" port. Do I need some kind of special adaptor?

I know about Midi Interfaces like the midiman midisport 2x2. Do I need to buy one of those? I'm trying not to break the bank here.

Any suggestions welcome.

Hi,

There are cables were one end fit on the 15 pins thing on the soundblaster, and the other end fit on keyboards like you have. Here in the Netherlands they are also available in computer stores but I don't know about yours. Or check your music store of course. Don't know how they are called.

Well if there is such a cable I'm still puzzled that there is just the one midi port on the soundcard. I thought it would need both a midi in and a midi out port, just like the keyboard, otherwise I'm going to have two wires coming out of my keyboard that will need to be connected in some way to that one midi/joystick port. Something seems fishy here...?

The midi port on the soundblaster handles both midi in and midi out data.
