I was surfin around the web yesterday and i was looking for djs and was looking through Oakenfold's biography, and oakey is 40 years old:eek: .
Paul Oakenfold - 40 years old
Danny Tengalia - 42 years old
Whats the oldest djs that you know? (that are relatively well known, not just some picture of an old guy with headphones :D) |

oldest dj still going is 57 yr old junior vasquez
Frankie Knuckles is near 50 (48)
most of the A list dj's are in their 30's or 40's with a few exceptions
armin, ferry, lottie, fergie and yousef
carl cox is 40
derrick may is 40
juan atkins is 41
jeff mills is 40
pete tong is 42 (43 later this month..july 30)
Sasha is 34 (later this year)
John Digweed is 36
Fatboyslim who just turned 40 (on july 13th)
Paul Oakenfold will be 40 on aug 30th
Judge Jules is 37 (38 later this year)
Tiesto is 34
Dave Seaman is 35
the problem will be in a few yrs because these deejays are taking most of the gigs and things and not letting the younger generation in.
Most of these guys are raising families or about to.
Then again...why should this surprise us...the rolling stones are close to 60 and they still tour and same with other rock bands. |

1 russian dj is over 70 and his mate is 60+
