| I used to nplay counter-strike alot back about a year ago,then stopped playing for about a year now. I am about to go back into it, so I wanted to know what should I kmow after I download? Is there things i should know like addons, patches, extra things I need after I download, fast servers, which severs to go into, ect. Please let me know, thanks..... |

i dont play counterstrike, i play unreal tournament..its ing awesome, i love that game haha:) since school was ending this last 2 weeks thats all we'd do, we would take one exam, then just play unreal for like 3 hours .... my nickname on it is satan:) hehe..

| go to the cs skins site and customize the look of your weapons skins and model skins and whatnot. adds a different feel to the game and most of them look better than the regular ones. there a link to the site @ www.counter-strike.net |

hahah...that is exactly what i did....UT rulez...and one of our teachers was a big fan of it too so we never got ed over 4 playing it...there are some goddamn sweet patches for it |

yeah listen to lynx
just go update your half life first
then download the full CS setup file from counter-strike.net
setup
and done
i would use gamespy but its all personal preference
go download skins or use default |

I have counterstike and don't get me wrong I think it's a really cool game but I haven't been playing it due to the fact that I am hooked on Deltaforce Landwarrior. I only can find one thing about counterstike that I don't like you have to wait 5 min before you can come back in the game if you die right off the bat. Deltaforce Landwarrior you just hit the space bar and your right back in. If you get a chance try it sometime.

| that's not what bugs me. it's the actual players themselves that bug me. most of em are ****heads. no respect whatsoever. i stopped playin' cs a few weeks ago cause i got re-hooked on diablo 2. :D |

| So would I need Half-Life installed in order to play counter-strike? Or is there another way around this.. |

I'm pretty sure that you need half life installed on your computer to run the counterstrike MOD but I also saw the counter stike game in the store. So i'm guessing if you have the counterstrike MOD only then you would need to have Half life.
