If its true that they offered £21 m for him and got turned down, I think it was right of them not to buy him. Sure, he won the world cup with brazil and managed to get a cross in goal past an overaged keeper, but what has he proved really? He has been inconsistent with PSG, why would he be a success in the PL? A league where almost no south american players manage to adapt. But yeah, they really need some offensive reinforcement after Beckhams move.

i'm glad man utd didn't get Ronaldinho coz he is overrated, Damien Duff is a much better option, but we need to act quickly if we want to stop him joining Chelsea.

As for Harry Kewell, wot is that tosser on about??Even if United are due a 'downturn' as he reckons, it won't be Liverpool who replace us, it'l be Chelsea, Newcastle or Arsenal.
Liverpool should stick to the Mickey Mouse cup!:whip: :whip:

Chelsea are most likely to replace Man United at the top of the English game if they can get their team of superstars to gel, which will be a tough task.

Liverpool need a new manager with a new direction to get them into the big time. Thats just my opinion. They could also do with selling Heskey, hes totally overated in my opinion.

Couldn't agree more. Houllier has spent lots of money on tons of players and hasn't won anything worth mentioning besides the FA cup and the UEFA cup in what four-five years?. On top of that he has made Liverpool, a side traditionally known for flair and offensive football, into one of the most boring sides in the premiership. I don't think they will do alot better this year just because they now have Kewell and lets see how GH will use him.
I also think that Heskey is a crap player, but he seems to be one of the managers favorites. I can't see him leaving before Houllier does.

Man Utd were offering Barthez with cash, apparently. PSG are in debt and would rather just have the money, which Barcelona were offering. Also, PSG accused Man Utd of going behind the clubs back and discussing straight with the player, which didn't impress them.

Apparently Man Utd went for Kleberson because he was good friends with Ronaldinho and their style of play would complement each other - if that's true then this is a disappointment for the club, but I think overall the fans should be glad they didn't get Ronaldinho, I doubt he'd have fitted in with man utd's style of play. However they should be worried about replacing him and the prospect of Veron going to Chelsea. I doubt Barthez will be happy he was being offered to PSG either. Man Utd need to sort their out.

and on the liverpool thing, Kewell and Le Tallec will make sure the attack play will be at top! and youll will also see a new micheal owen this year! and heskey should go, houllier i want too stay till he has had his 5 years for the club, as he promised the PL within that time range.

Please tell me that was a joke :D But seriously, if the rumours are correct (and I say rumours because this only what I've read in the paper) then Ronaldinho's personality would probably have clashed with Fergie anyhow...in that sense it could be a blessing in disguise, you dont wanna be shelling out 23mil or whatever it was for another Dwight Yorke situation where he ends up playing with the kids. Just my opinion.
