Beach party tonight

From an email I received today:
Hi Friends,
We know this is a bit on the last minute side (or spontaneous, rather), but Sumkidz will be throwing a covert little soiree on Cherry Beach this Saturday night! Starting around 10:30, we'll be inhabiting a lesser travelled spot on the beach, complete with soft sand to walk on, the water just a few feet away, and a fantastic night of music. Djs Zumba (Telefunk/sumkidz), Aria (Telefunk), Siren (Sumkidz), Jonah K (Gnome) and Mike Lambert (Sumkidz) will provide an ecclectic mix of deep grooves till dawn.
When you arrive at the beach, walk left until you find us (it's not toolong a walk - don't fret if you can't hear the music from the parking lot). Hope to see y'all for some fun under the moon!

| TimeToBurn & Ninjapimp went to scope this out for me last nite, called me from there unable to find a party, and returned to my place to hang out for a bit. I was invited to attend the party w/Chiclet at Klinic, but decided to pass on a nite in a club. Immediately after they left my place, my friend from Oshawa called me from Cherry Beach, music pumping in the background. (Guess you guys didn't see how far back that eastern parking lot actually went, cuz the party WAS going on). Tried to call Charmscars but her phone wasn't on. Ended up going down w/this 1 guy I know around 1am, listened to some housey techno, & hung out til 3:15. Left w/him so I could go get my own car, and met RyanM & his roomie Jason back down there at 4:15am, where we hung out for another couple hrs, listening to some dubby reggae and trip hop as the sun rise rolled in. Fellow female TA Artie (who ended up at this party due to this thread)walked up to me for introductions :) . T'was a good nite to sit on the beach. Gotta love those Cherry Beach parties....... |
