I have these awful dreams that are really graphic and discusting.. dreams of people getting their heads blown off and getting shot and houses blowing up and the end of the world and my family dying and all sorts of sick stuff. I don't watch alot of movies that incorporate this stuff so why the hell am i dreaming about it? It's quite often too... does anyone know why i could be having these dreams? or what i can do about it?:nervous:

yes, i have dreams where i am actually killing people, and enjoying it, i might add. these dreams are quite disturbing, because i am not violent by nature. it's scary, but they are just dreams...

Well, I have good news for you! All of these things you dream about mean that you will have good luck and be happy some day. I went through a phase when i was 13-16 years old where I had VERY weird/disturbing dreams (I dreamt about wading through my family/friends corpses and other groovy stuff), so I looked it up on dreamdoctor.com and pretty much no matter how horrible/unnerving etc. a dream was it was good somehow. Don't let your dreams get to you. They give you something to talk about when you wake up:D . I just had a dream where I was eaten by a bear on prom night and some monster was coming to stomp on my house, but now i think its funny!

i hope your right! some dreams scare the crap out of me (not literally) and others are downright ridiculous... like a dream i had about a run in with a goat that shot lasers out of it's eyes:D

What a weird coincidence. I had the scariest dream last night. I never, NEVER, have odd or creepy dreams, but last night I had one that disturbed me A LOT.

I dreamt that I was at my BF's place (which I really was last night), and we were in his bed watching tv (which we did before we fell asleep), when all of a sudden his dad comes running down the stairs telling us to switch the channel. We are like "why what's so important?" and he says "there's a war!" So we calmly go to change the channel, assuming the war is in the states again, but then we hear a big explosion generally far away, like a few kilometers, and all the power goes out. My BF is like "oh this is cool" (which is probably from his fascination with war in real life), and he goes to the window to see what's happening, but I am horrified. You can see the flashes of explosions, and planes and flying over head out the window. My worst nightmare is coming true in my dream. So, then he's like "let's go for a walk, the fighting isn't anywhere near us." So, I am very hesitant and I am like, "no I really don't want to" because I hate war, and want nothing to do with it, not only that but the whole thing is just scary since there are ing explosions everywhere, but he insists we go for a walk because "it looks so neat".

So, I finally cave, and we go for the walk, but as soon as we get outside, I notice that even though the explosions aren't where we are yet, there are snipers on the houses, and people standing everywhere getting ready to shoot. All of the fighters assume we are just civilians since we are calmly walking down the street, and choose not to shoot us, but then I panic and begin to run. When I run this lady behind a machine gun starts to go psycho on me, and shoots me like 10 times. Then I die. That was the scariest part of my dream. The feeling of dying was so awful, and felt so extremely real, that I shot out of my sleep, just because I needed to mentally reassure myself I was still alive. I felt the shots, and the pain, and I am seeing through my eyes as I fall to the ground. And right before I die, I see what is in front of me, clear as day, and then it slowly goes white. That's when I woke up.

That was the most awful dream I think I have ever had. Not for the war part, but for me dying. I have never "died" in a dream, and the awful, horrible feeling I got from it is something I never want to experience again. When I woke up, I had to turn around and look at my BF to be sure he was there, and then I tried thinking "happy thoughts". I don't think I have ever been so disturbed by a dream before.

I don't know why I dreamt this, but I sure as hell hope I never dream it again. It was the worst nightmare ever. I bet most of you reading this are thinking "that isn't really scary at all," and if it had no emotional effect on me, I would probably think it wasn't so bad either, but with the mental and emotional impact it had, it was truly horrifying to me.

It's weird how images going through your head can emotionally and mentally freak the out of you, or make you feel so strange. Your mind can fool you into thinking that what is going on in your dream is actually taking place, even if what you are dreaming is very unrealistic. This causes you to react and get the same emotions you would if it were happening, which is what causes it to be a nightmare, and an unpleasant experience, or the complete opposite. I mean, think about it, some guys can cum after dreaming about having sex. That is how strong and realistic your dreams can be. You don't realize how powerful your mind is, until it's free to do its own thing.

So I sympathize to the people who have creepy dreams like that. I know how awful they feel. But since this is like the first dream I have had like that, I don't know how to help you make it go away. I sure as hell hope this was a one time only thing, cause more dreams like that, and I will never want to go to sleep.

We always have wars here. Sucks when you step on a landmine. :o :toothless

There have been no wars on our soil since the 1860s (excluding Pearl Harbor). It's debatable whether you could count the WTC and Pentagon. Those were like mini-warzones.:(
About the dreams....don't think I have an answer for you.

maybe that's exactly the problem - you don't get enough violence in your real life. maybe you should see more movies / play videogames.

or it could be your subconscience telling you that you are angry at the world and, like in fight club, you're looking for a way out.

but the weirdest dreams ever are those where you die....
