Who Wants to See Gabriel & Dresden?

Me and some friends (including senior TA Spective) are trying to gauge the interest of people in the San Francisco Bay Area in seeing Gabriel & Dresden at a local event. Despite their exploding fame worldwide, they seem comparatively unknown on their home turf. It ain't cool that we want to personally experience performances by these guys and yet have so few opportunities. Though Josh and Dave make occasional apperances for solo DJ sets in SF, even these seem fairly uncommon, and to my knowledge they've never played together here (at least not recently).
So, with the goal of influencing our local promoters, please reply to this thread or e-mail me, and I'll collect the replies as "evidence" of Gabriel & Dresden's pull. Too many promoters give a quizzical look when G&D are mentioned, and this needs to change.

LOL, it seems there is a group that has popped up everywhere trying to gauge the interest....and going around to all the boards (well, 1015 Folsom's and Spundae's) asking this question...and Spective mentioned it in another thread on here.
Anyhow, this is great! It pissed me off when Dave told me that no one has contact him or Josh about playing together in SF....ARGH.
So yeah, you can surely count me in...and there's a large group spread out on different boards. With proper promotion, any club could be packed in this area. People who know the music KNOW who they are....they just have no idea they are from around this area. |

I live in L.A. and definitely would drive up north to see the dynamic duo!!!
I bought tickets to see them in LA this past weekend and disturbly found out that they were not scheduled to perform that night at the last minute. The main headliner for that night was Saeed and Palash and I didn't go. I ended up losing 30 bucks for tickets.:(
I will however be in the east coast in August and hope to see them in Washington DC @ Glow on August 9th. The chances are slim, but knowing how crazy I am, anything's possible. |
