Leigh...yes i remember taking a shot of Helen and i think it was Laurent in the cage lol Think i may even have one of her hanging upsidedown and dancing. Where the hell did you learnt to do that Hel? you looked so professional :) Forgot digicam at home (again) but shall have some pics u/l by tomorrow night :)
Also, you werent the only one feeling a little off colour after the Turkish Food, Helen and I were running in and out of the toilets with bad........well i wont say just in case someone reading this is eating lunch but you get the picture i am sure. Am sure the food was fresh, its just that we are not used to consuming such large amounts of exotic food.
Sid - One shot I would have liked to take was when Sid was shaking his little ass off with the bellydancer at Harem....what a classic moment. It should have been you up there too Joel but you chickened out.
Cam - So nice of you to think of us :) We kept your spot on the dancefloor free (for your spirit that is, who btw had a great time). BTW..dont post on here till you get back though, everytime i see your name i am green with envy ;)
2 weeks till nexy Alt - yipee :) Cant wait to see and party with you all again! How lucky are we, 3 Alt's in a space of 4 weeks !!!!!!!!! |

Sounds like it was an awesome night. I've gotta hear that mashup sometime Gav, I think I must have missed it when you played it last Ug Beats. On the venue, it's probably the most decent club venue in Canberra that size. I think it has capacity of around 1200, but I'm not sure if this is downstairs as well - a club called Quatro which normally plays RnB. The main room has a small dance floor and heaps of seeting all around, a couple of "cages" (really podium things with bars around and a step up into them). The back room is back past the pool room and has a seperate bar in it. It porbably fits 100 or so people in it and has a few couches and the like.
Other similar size venues that are in Canberra:
* Globe (used to be called Habana) - about the same size 1 room though, but Friction won't touch the place after they stuffed them round on the sound when James Holden played (as well as other stuff bad happening)
* Insomnia - similar size, I reckon this would make a decent venue, but they always play top 40 crap / nick skitz / that sorta thing there.
* In Blue - smaller than insomnia, but for all intents and purposes the same... top 40.
There's a few smaller ones around the place (I like Lot 33, capacity 200 with an awesome vibe)
