Recording knob movements of VSTi's?

| Anyone know what sequencers are useful for recording knob wheel movements of VSTi soft synths? For example, if I play a measure of a track using a VSTi while gradually changing the cutoff, will the sequencer record and remember that knob movement next time the track is played back? I've been using Buzz for sequencing and it seems to have a problem recording most knob movements for VSTi's. Is there another sequencer out there that can perform this task more reliably? |

| I'm not sure if its possible man - I use fruityloops and it doesn't record any movements inside VSTi's to my knowledge... I think it has something to do with the standard - the regular fruity plugins record just fine. |

yes, it can easily be done in Cubase VST/32 5.0 and above. Just hit the Write and Read buttons on the Channel Mixer, then play ur track. u can then start messing with buttons, and it will record the movement of the buttons u move. after you record one button, say for example a filter cutoff movement, u can then stop the song, restart the song and then record another movement with somethin else. AND all of these movements can be fine tuned graphically in the Graphical Mastertrack. where u can graphically make ur movements smoother with the paintbrush / pencil or whatever u want to use.
You should really get this book called, Cubase Power! . It has everything and all the tips and tricks and describes every single little feature of cubase, its a great book. |
