Herritage Hockey Classic

Is there anyone planning on trying to attend this game?

If you don't know...it's the Oilers vs. Canadiens @ Commenwealth Stadium on Nov. 22. Yes, the football field. There are 50,000 seats/tickets.

Apparently they are letting season ticket holders have first dibs at the extra tickets (since their season ticket is good for a seat already for that game), until Sept 15 for general sale. Ticket prices are spendy ($60 CAN for uber nosebleed, 135 for better seats), but the event begins with a "old timer" game which is to include Gretzky skating for the Oiler team, so it may be a "hockey event" of a lifetime. Sorta like when Michigan played Michigan State at their football stadium.

the website for the event is www.heritagehockeyclassic.com

They did a test fit of the rink recently which can be seen at www.edmontonoilers.com

I plan on flying up to see it if there is a ticket left to buy :D :D :D (having my airline fly into edmonton is a definate benifit :))

It's a Heritage Hockey Classic.. key word is 'classic'. You keep ur ONE cup and Lanny McD. and Joel Otto in Cowtown. We'll take our Gretzky/Kurri legacy with 5 cups against Lafleur and Les Canadiens 24 cups here :D :D :D hahahaha jk.
