Reason 2.5 - Help??

hey
I got Propellerhead reason 2.5 yesterday, already problems!! I seemed to be locked from changing or setting a tempo, and can not play a tune?..
Has anyone else who has 2.5 had or got this problem, or does anyone know a fix for it? Please let me know

well, i'm sure plenty of people could help you figure out whats up (though it doesnt sound like a software problem, probably a config problem), but you're gonna have to give some more details!
can't play a tune? as in you cant play on a keyboard/midi in device?
locked from changing the tempo? are you using a clock or a sync?
what kinda system?

Well, its kinda like this.
Whenever I open, or try to start a reason tune, its fine, but i can not set a tempo (it is stuck at 000) I can not move it up and down. I also can not click play (play the current song in the sequncer), if i click it, nothing happens. I have looked through my preferences and there appears to be no problem with the config's and i cant find how to fix it. (I am using windows XP, and im trying to change the tempo using the thing at the bottom of the sequcner, it worked before, now it dosent, also i dont run a MIDI keyboard through it, I havent got one yet)
This happens with every song by the way, even demo and template songs??>
If you can help it will be great

yeah, reinstalling should work if you had it running previously fine..
a little trick that may save you some time is to move the Orkester and Factory sound banks to a new directory before uninstalling, then reinstall without the sound banks and just move them back to where they were.
before you go through the trouble, be sure to check your System Control Panel for conflicts anywhere in your sound card, irqs, etc.
also, parse the Configuration (i'm sure you've done this). is there a default option? try it if you havent. try selecting an alternate driver for your sound card .. like the factory driver instead of Direct Sound or vice versa.
the tempo being at 000 is something i've never heard of before, so i'm guessing you're in for a reinstall or a funky sound driver.

i have tried re-installing :(
No change
Il have to contact the people at propellerhead see what they say, and if nothoing works ill have 2 get my ££ back!

| Yeah, contacting them is a good idea... you might have had a faulty copy or something because I've never heard anyone having the same problem. |
