I received my copy of Michelle Nicol - Time released from Duty Free Recordings in the mail today and I listened to it but it sounds different than the mp3 I dled and the version PvD spun at Mayday 2003. The main piano melody seems to be slightly different. Anyone know why?

copywright problems i think...

I don't think Coldplay is much enamored of remixes. I read that Lost Witness wanted to remix them a while back and Coldplay said no. Or maybe they just don't like Lost Witness.

In any case, I listened to "Time" and that variation in the piano roll destroyed the track for me. It's so obviously a legally-required modification, and an uninspired one, that all I can think about when I hear it is how poorly THAT melody compares to "Clocks"'. Such a slight variation in notes really can make a difference.

I noticed the same thing with the mark oliver's Guvernment cd, it was the last track on the CD.

This version is definitely different than the version PvD spins. I've heard this @ local reocrd store too......that variation of the track screws up the track

If you want the version that PvD spun, look for the white label promo that came out in March or April ;)
arturob
yes. Duty Free's release is different from the whitelabel promos.

all the best,
