This tune does not need any introducing, I'm sure you've all heard it by now, it was the Tune Of The Week on last week's ASOT! Look out for the original release sometime soon! After recieving the kit from Jezper (seems like I always get the pleasure of remixing his tracks!), this is my interpretation of it. Enjoy!
LOFI for obvious reasons!

P.S. Can someone paste the code to do those nice looking links rather than the direct link to the site? Thanks :) |

sounds good, i like the pumping trance thing u have goin on.. nice and meaty like it means business hehehe :)
good synth work and very nice structure. at the start of the 1st breakdown u have a kind of l'esperanza-esque noise that filters in and out.. i think it fades out a little too quick.
the melody is cool, is it the same as the original melody (i havent heard it..)? if not wicked stuff mate hehe.. i think you could do a little more with it when the melody stops @ 5mins to make the transition flow a little better, its a bit sudden as it stands. :)
good , keep it up ;) |

I like what you did with it DC-, you made it somewhat more interesting for me than the original. The bassline is great, melodies are well placed. Though I have some pointers... not sure what you could do with it, since it's your track, but here goes :
I think you could make the hihats (in between the beats) more standing out, the track might get a better drive that way (maybe put the bass in a higher octave for some notes too, that can help).
The overall sound is good, but sounds a bit 'thin' or 'midi'... I don't know how exactly to describe it, but I hope you get my point ;)
Keep it up!
LW
Ps: one last question : why the lofi? :) |

You pasting the link for me doesn't quite do me well now does it :) I want to know so I can do it in the future! :P
I did use the original melody but I tweaked it to my liking, so inthe end it's not really all that same, except the last few bars.
Lightworks:
The hithats stand out actually quite a bit, but due to the lofi nature of the encode it's not as obvious. Maybe I'll post a hifi sample so you can hear for yourself. As for the "sounds thin", I really have no idea what you mean, maybe it's the encode? I'm very satisfied with my mastering setup and I doubt I'll change anything anytime soon.
As for why it's a lofi, its because there's a good chance it will be released, depending on whether the label likes it or not :)
Thanks for the comments :) |

i must say it sounds rather empty indeed, at least the main part.. i guess it's because the bassline is quite low.. this makes the lead stand out and it reduces the power a bit, because the lead synth isn't as massive as some other uplifting trancers.. but as you say, the lofi probably doesn't do the track any justice, so i can be completely wrong.. :) the build-up rocks, though! |
