hey everyone,
alright...i've never tried to do a reconstruction so was wondering if anyone had some tips...i'm not talking about making a version of an unreleased track...but i'm talking about say markus schulz does a lot of recontructions or like the pvd reworks...how do you approach doing something like that...i know its done in the studio, but can you do it with just a song or do you need other stuff too... |

Many times, what is done is just adding some element like new bass, percs or synths, and a normal track editing that u can make on soundforge...
If u need/want to change/add some synth line, u can look for a point of the song where it plays alone, extract a very tiny part of it, trim and loop it on soundforge to get the synth sound infinite, and just mess with it on your sequencer, adding the same delay and stereo properties that the song uses... |

acid is an good program for creating loops as it automaps the beats which makes looping seamless. |

IMHO, reconstructions are nowhere near is fun as making your own remix |

so how do you go about sampling the song and getting each element to be separate. |

Professional producers either get all parts separately or remake all parts. |
