Chieftec case (Which one?)
Seagate Barracuda Serial ATA V (120 GB) (I already have an older Seagate 80 MB)

use windows 2000 professional instead of xp, a lot more stable and works with all audio programs.

I have seen it for € 199.
But to be honest I am not sure if I want this card. I know it is good, but do I need multiple outputs or do you think it is unnecessary because you already have a mixer in cubase/
(thanx for the fast reply BTW) |

Get more RAM... if you can that is.
512 is enough but these days I would say go ahead and get a Gig. |

It doesn't have multiple outs. It only has the one stereo out. The other outs are the S/PDIF out and the midi out. |

I'd agree with this. Especially if you're going to use a sampler or synth (like Atmosphere) that loads stuff into memory rather than streaming off disk. You'll probably appreciate the extra memory more if you're using XP, talking of which, I have nothing against if you're running it on new hardware. I did have some problems with XP, until I upgraded most of my PC and now everything works extremely well. |

When are multiple outputs needed? |
