Ok, so i finnaly finished a production which i thought was good enough to send out to a few labels. I found a bunch in the USA only and sent in a demo. After weeks of no replies i emailed/called the labels to ask what was going on. I figure a rejection would at least be in order, rather than no reply at all.

Four labels that contacted me back said stuff like, "im sorry, we aren't looking for trance anymore. We are accepting various genres of house and breaks."

Theres no f'in way im going to start producing house to satisfy these people. However, do i have to accept the fact that unless i have my own company my tracks won't be accepted? or will i have to just release my own tracks on my own??

I know trance is still popular and well liked (though maybe not AS much as it used to be), and i can't belive its gone completely from the record industry. Either way, im not giving up on trance.

HELP!!!!

Perhaps send it to other labels that specialize more in releasing trance productions than house / prog house / breaks / etc ...

I.E Don't send your trance to Shinichi or Yooshi. Or Marine Parade. Or etc ..

when i researched these lables to begin with, they listed trance as a style they dealt with.

can anybody suggest some lables that would be good for me to try??

Moonshine is a very respeced and popular electronica label that specializes in different genres as well...the RGB series categorizes trance as blue, breaks as green, and house as red, hence RGB.
Alot of the stuff that Christopher Lawrence plays depicts the style of Moonshine...a clean, slick drving feel...
Other notable trance and house artists that are on the Moonshine label are Carl Cox and Ferry Corsten.
