What do I need to record myself to my computer with my Pioneer djm-500?
What kind of cord?
What kind of software?
Where does the cord go into the back of my mixer?
Complete lost, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Well depending on how extravigant a sound card you got you will need a way to connect them -
If you plan on recording to the line in (mini/headphone jack) on the sound card you'll need a Y cable - on one end its got RCA's (red/white) on the other end its a mini jack - they are fairly inexpensive - plug the mini jack into your sound card and the RCA's into the record out of your mixer (if you dont have a record out you'll need to plug it into the booth out :)
now for the software...well its pretty much up to you what you'd like to use...I'd recommend Sound Forge or Cool Edit
I own a 600 so I think everything should be the same :)
any other questions just ask :) |

| Expensive? Y-Cables are like $5 bucks, tops (even the goldplated ones). |
