hey fellow tranceaddicts
i have an awesome idea for a track, but i'm extreme newb when it comes to music production. all of my attempts at anything end up sounding really tinny and without any substance.
i use fruity loops 4, and i was wondering how to crank out a flutlicht/shokk-like* bass and main melody. that would totally give my track idea a lot of color. do you know what synth it is?
thanks a lot, guys. i hope that after i receive some guidance i can contribute to the amateur production forum
*something like in s.h.o.k.k. - isn't it a little strange (flutlicht remix) |

You will get a lot more response if you post this in the music amateur production forum. |

Somehow, I don't think it would be as easy as finding out what synth they have used in Isn't It A Little Strange. They use several different synths for different parts of the melodies. Although they do use it, I don't think much of their melodies come from Fruity Loops. Also, it's not so easy as to load up a synth and have the sound that you want straight away. It's all about playing with it, ing with all those setting you've no idea what they do.
Also...collaborate with someone else you know who is giving it a go. You might learn a few things.

see, originally i had posted it in the amateur section...but i dont have anything finished yet. i only have a bassline...and not a very good one at that lol. but that's cool.
yea. right now (from ing around) i got a very seraque - in my dreams kind of not-the-lead-but-i-dont-know-what-it's-called secondary melody. so meh...kind of dorky sounding.
