Maybe the contract is only interrupted.
Unterbrechung=Interruption

but it still sounds not so good.........

Unterbrechung: can be termination, but more likely suspension

The exact meaning, as always, depends on the context (sorry for being a lawyer ;)). So what's the context?

actually it's for work...im working with some spreadsheets and they have german terms in it...

by the way in english, "Vertragsunterbrechung" literally translates to "breach of contract" :)
