That's what I used to think. It is kind of like a form of "ADD" that you grow out of (or don't). It's hard to describe hehe. After a while you (uaually) open your mind to other forms of EDM. This usually even occurs within one subgenre of EDM (e.g Alice DJ --> good trance).
These tracks owned me last night:
01. James Holden - A Break In The Clouds (Markus Schulz Reconstruction)
02. Avril Lavigne - I'm With You (Leama & Moor Remix)
04. Markus Schulz presents Elevation - Clear Blue
;)
I've been buying too many trance records, and need some more progressvive records.:whip: :clown: |
ill pass on that avril track. |

At least listen to it before you pass.
It should be named:
"some singin' bitch - I'm with you (leama & moore)" to avoid people making such generalizations. ;) :toothless :disbelief |
Damn your smart! It must be your first name. :D |

generalizations? sorry if i came up a little "generalized"
what i ment to say is.. that song had no depth.. its just a breakbeat song with no purpose or meaning. chillout set: yes. digweed set: hell no.
i give it 6/10 |

Well when I started listening to prog I didn't focus on any thing. With prog it's hard to focus on things cuz very often there's not a recognizable melody or whatever thing to focus on.
I'd say just put it on and do the usual stuff you do when listening to music. It's more like a continious ride with no such big breakdowns as trance. Prog has a more consistent flow than trance (just like techno can have).
And don't think you will like it after a few listens, it could take some time for you to fully appreciate it. Start off with some progressive trance maybe...
That's the way I see it :) |
