Question about Stuart - Free
View this Thread in Original format

I'm wondering how Stuart has made this particular sound in his track Free. I've posted a sample of the particular sound, so that we know what we are talking about :

Sample

Does anyone know how Stuart makes this sound? Is it recorded from live instruments, or does he use a synth? I know he has filtered the original sound, but it's this original sound I'm looking for.
It seems that more club/house tracks use this sound and I want to use it too!

I think its a brass...i could have a bash at making one if i get a bit time like.

I will try strings also because its just one of those sounds :p hehe.

If you use fruityloops there are a few vsts with brass samples n stuff i am sure i have seen some, i will keep an eye out but im not promising anything. you can try www.kvr-vst.com for vsts.
