I use internal EQ to process external signal - so i can safely say it is not bad. Still for the best application, external one should be used. I simply love the Arpegiator and filter sweeps are just f-n amazing :D Hate to rub it in - but ther is a noticeable difference in "phatness" of the sound between B and C. I owned them all, A, B, and now KC - i must say that I favored A and love C... Reason I liked A was for it's grainines - it didn't sound as crisp as C and in certain patches it acutally had an analog warmness, something I have to force KC to do ... join Virus mailing list and forums (link on access website) - worth every second of your time ;)
Have fun with your B, it's a beast. |

I actually met Matt Picone, the guy who writes bunch of patches for Virus C, you can see bunch of his soundbanks on access-music.de and I am trading some of my hard labor (help him clean basement and garage) for some access virus c lessons... :D I expect to be a wiz by the time I am done scraping the grime from garage floor...
:tongue3
Access site is great, but you wouldn't believe the wealth of free access patches you can find by using.. (gasp!) Google...
Try "Access Virus C download patches" search string. :D
and btw, most of "banks" are created by folks who are not afraid to experiment with menus and buttons. If you want to phatten the base, try using OSC and your filters. I had some speaker shattering base come out... don't be afraid to get freaky. You may also want to consider weirding out your LFOs, as they are mean mofos! I had LFO pattern I could have sworn was arpegiator but it wasnt! it was plain LFO! when I arpegiated that patch it just became sick! you could stick it in a track and use it as your rythm! If I could only output LFO as a MIDI pulse to synch my drums to!!!
Anyway, you're making me want to leave early and run back to play with my Access Virus.
Oh, and by the way - I just picked up Alesis ION and all I have to say is "FCUKING WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW!":eyespop:
yOU HAve to check this bad boy out! It is PHAAAAAAAAT! I'll post a sample soon. Have phun kids ;P
