Erm.. could i just point out that I managed to upload no more than 5mb of my set before I gave up since i couldnt resume. So I doubt you judges even got to hear the first transition of mine, let alone enough to judge my mix. Perhaps you should edit me out? :-\
Cable
wow thanks :D , was expecting to come around 4th cos I did quite a different mix this time
max_payne
Luke, you got my results right? I sent them a while back.

Congrats to Cable :)
I never heard your previous set, but this one was right on the mark.

Actually all of the mixes were very good and I wish success to all of you in your DJing.

Almost all of you had the beatmatching dead on, so I basically looked for the progression of the tracks (i.e. if the mix wasnt just a random beatmatching of melodies) and harmonic mixing. For a competition like this I think the mix, in a way, should have a theme. Like if you start of mellow maybe build up to a peak. Or if you want a set full of energy then maintain that energy and dont let bog down later on. You can be the best when it comes to beatmatching but if its just one random tune after the other I dont see the point. It may sound corny...but as many top Djs always say the best mixes take you on a musical journey. Of course having the songs in key is icing on the cake.

Some people only had a few MB uploaded so I ignored them

Anyway I had alot of fun listening to your great sets.
Digital Rain
Congratulations Cable, two years in a row is a big achievement.

GOOD JOB BOYS! Spy-D GREAT job!

Cable congrats on #1 again. I'll get ya next year ;)

t0ast!
meh...i hoped i'd finally get a bit higher in the rankings, but it just proves that no matter what style i choose, i either (a) don't have the $$ to get up-to-the-minute vinyl, or (b) don;t have the style of the moment.

the ftp will be reset for the next compo.

congrats to cable + all others! :)
Rocco
u don't have to have up to the minute vinyls to win competitions like this
