assist with signatures

Can somebody please tell me how I can get a pic to show up as my signature, if that is possible,
I tried putting the url to my pic, but when I posted a thread, then the url just showed, then I tried putting the [img] tags around it, which had a result that was even more t up then the first try
i.e. [img]http://sbriggs.netfirms.com/sbriggs.jpg[img]
I am a newbie to these forms and am seeking help

sbriggs...u need exactly what u have there, but with a / in the last "[img]"
ie. [/img] |

lets see if it worked,
if so, I know this is a ty sig, my connection is slow ass so I need about 4 hours to download the photoshop, so I can make a good ass mother sig,
does anybody know a better, or equal graphics program than photoshop..??? |
