Well the dinner is the social thing. Imax only goes for 45mins.
I am not sure about having it on the same night at Transmissions, depends on how organised we can be, not sure if anyone else is actually going to Transmissions.... I don't want everyone leaving the dinner/whatever early cos they have to rush off to Transmissions |
Can someone fill us in on Transmission??? I've been reading 3D world and the ad for it but there isnt much info. Can someone fill us in on what its like??? eg. are they good parties??? decor??? etc.
and whose going?? would love to catch up with Cam, Helen and meet the rest of the sydney.au.ta crew!! |

I'm definitely Up for a SYDNEY ALL AGES meet. I heard Webby was into little boys anyway =)) jk. It would be nice to see what some of these vampires look like in sunlight, but dinner is ok.
Count me in, but an early night for me because i work weekends =((. |

Julian: Transmission used to be some of the BEST parties around!!! They still are production wise (the lighting, lasers and assorted visuals will blow your mind), and the crowd is always large and up for it (i think there expecting 8000 or something - might be wrong though).... however the music is no longer what the majority of the Sydney tranceaddicts want to hear!! Its almost all hard trance (except for Diggs & morro, stama and liquid m), played by the regular big name sydney dj's but its something weve all heard a million times before (for you guys who havent heard the sets a million times before already though it should be really great!)...
So despite Simon's (aka DJ Nervous) assurances that the music was going to be getting more and more uplifting, its been getting harder and harder with each transmission and so most of the syd.au.ta's wont be in attendance this time i dont think!!
This does sound like im saying the night will be a big downer but it wont be for you guys!! It'll be something fresh and new for you guys but unfortunately the sets played at the Transmission's are almost always identical and so after attending 4 or 5 Transmissions it all sounds the same!! Personally ill save my cash!! :)
Enjoy it though guys they are the BIG party here in Sydney!! :):) |

Think Leigh's hit the nail on the head there :D
The production is unbelievable and the venue is top notch as well (massive dance floor and the stadium seating around it), but the music is pretty much Sublime vs Plastic (I think similar to Hard Kandy/Bass Station styles, though don't quote me on that :p)....
Jules if u and Reemo are in town that weekend, let us know and we can have a get-together regardless :p |

Dinner and movie sounds great!
You get to sit around at dinner have a good talk and then head off and enjoy a movie.

OK, so it looks like dinner and the movies.
Picnic was also fairly popular, but I was thinking we do the dinner thing now while it's still a bit coolish, then in a couple of months we have a picnic or something. No reason why we can't do both.
So in the next day or so I will start a poll for what night suits people. Then I will ask where people want to go.
This is going to take a few days or so, so bear with me.
Thanks guys :) :) |
