ok I'm sure I'm a little behind the times. But I have the DJ Tiesto Remix of Paul Oakenfold's Southern Sun on my ISOS3 album. However I recently heard it on my friends computer that he d/l'd off the web. It sounded like the Tiesto version perfectly except the lyrics the chick was singing we different. Can anyone help clarify this for me. Becaue I like the other version I heard than the one on ISOS3.

| Original version of Southern Sun contained the lyrics Tiesto had on ISOS3 in his remix of the track. However Oakenfold changed the lyrics of the track for the release of his album 'Bunkka.' Tiesto then remixed the track again, using the 'official' lyrics. However, I prefer the lyrics on the ISOS3. Oakenfold changed them due to some 'personal' reasons. |

Nah, Oakenfold changed them because Maverick executives were whining that the depressing original lyrics wouldn't get radio play. It's a shame, not just because the original lyrics are much better and have more meaning, but because I really doubt that changing them would result in a different amount of airplay. Additionally, this meant that the crappy sanitized PG lyrics got on vinyl, not the awesome, emotional I-hate-my-life-and-want-to-die original ones.
I've posted the lyrics for the two versions (as far as I can tell, correctly) at the bottom of this thread: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...?threadid=93349 |
