What do you use to play .AVI video files?

| winamp 2.9, or windows media player 6 or whatever comes standard on windows 2000. also the player from divx.com works well |

I've got realplayer, wmp, musicmatch, winamp and divx. I think divx is best for avi files. |

You most likely need to download and install the DivX codec - with this done you ought to be able to play .avi files not just in the dedicated DivX player but also in Windows Media Player, Realplayer and so on.
If that doesn't work then you may also need to download and install the XviD codec.
You're probably best off using Google and searching for the files 'DivX505Bundle.exe' and 'XviD_Install.exe'. |
