I remember on my 286 when i had ing QUICK MENU!! Yeah, before ing windows! muhahahahahhaah

But then we got Windows 3.1 installed and I could play cool Windows games, yeah what what.

I actually have an old AST 486 in my closet with Windows 3.1 on it....maybe I should drag it out :D

Windows NT 3.51:

Finally got around to taking some screens of this old but pretty nice (IMO) OS.

The desktop:


Program Manager:
Apart from different icons and the Admin/User title at the top of the Program Manager, nothing is much different from Windows 3.1x visually.


As this screenshot clearly illustrates, Windows NT 3.51 will run most modern 32 bit programs, at least those designed for Windows NT 4.0:


Mozilla works perfectly, and here it is with the "Internet Explorer" skin:


The control panel has this neat litle program. Was this ever built into any later Windows?

oh those were the days .. still remember the specs of my windows 3.11 computer :

25 Mhz - 20 MB Hard drive - 4 Mb memory(wow!!) - 8 kb video memory - 3 1/2 floppy and 5 1/2 floppy. and No Internet!!! that sucked

then moved up to windows 95 with a new computer ...

166 Mhz - 2 GB hard drive - 32 mb memory - 4 mb video memory - floppy - 20x cd rom drive

then moved to windows 98
533 mhz - 20 gb hd - 64 mb memory - 8 mb video memory - floppy - 4x cd writer (decent)

now!!! windows xp home
1.6 ghz - 20 gb hd - 16 mb video - 256 ddr mb memory - no floppy - dvd-rw (laptop)

** what a change in technology, huh?

LOL, 20MB HD with Win 3.11?

That would be barely enough to install Windows and do anything on it. :D

My Windows 3.11 machine had one 800 MB HD, and a second 320 MB one. :)

Can't actually remember :D. A google search and some editing and resizing made them. ;)
