LoL, get the out of trancEaddict...just leave. Trance would not be where it is today if Matt Darey was not a part of it. |
ahaha... omg u so dumb...
he was awesome a few years ago, I used to listen to his tracks... but, I mean, MOVE THE ON! The music culture is progressing, and Matt Darey isnt...wtf?
Have u heard his set at Global Dj Broadcast? Old School Cheese at 150 BPM... Im serious...I had to count the BPM, coz it sounded ALMOST as Happy Hardcore...
Its not even funny...
I belive that a producer should be moving along with the progress of music...And dont even in tell me that Im wrong... I mean, u dont listen to classical music anymore, right? Well.. someone probably still does...and it could even be you too...but for relaxing... u dont hear classical music in clubs...

Yes, TA has become more of a Fight Club than a nice place to discuss about music. I usually don't take part into these stupid arguments about who's good, who's not because music is all about taste and personal opinions. But sometimes i do get mad to someone though.. for not understanding the basics about the ppl and their various tastes.
Come on ppl! You need to understand that ppl are different and so are tastes in music too. Not all of us like the same stuff you do. Don't blame others for not liking the same ones you do then. Let them like or say what they want, like i (mostly) do. It's just their opinion. If it's a negative thing, let it be. So what? Let them be in their mysery.
For me example most of the recent trance tunes are quite boring because every other artist seems to use the same formula, same sounds, same synths with each other in every fuukin track they do or remix (Neo & Farina, Kansai, some Armin stuff, and many more). It kinda blends into the big masses so you don't recognize the artists as easily as you might have managed to do earlier. Not that much of those trademark sounds of each either, they all just sound about the same. What's original with that? I wonder..
Say that i live in the past or call me whatever names.. i couldn't care less. Most of the new trance tunes sound pure crap to me, with a few exceptions (Gabriel & Dresden for example). That's why i like to listen mostly older stuff from mid 90s and so. Tunes back then were and still are so much better in structure, more interesting and definately more original than most of today's stuff is.
PS: All of these are just MY opinions. These kinda threads have started dozens of pages of flame wars so we should think twice and look into the mirror before we flame others for not liking a certain artist or something like that. Ppl are unique as well as their tastes. Respect that. |

First of all, no I'm not dumb...quite a few other people agreed with me on my statement, unlike yours. Yes, I have heard his GDJB set (which was pre-recorded and sent out to multiple radio stations). While I will agree that he is not the best DJ, he definately has very good production skills. His "Euphoria" albums for example, they're very good and well mixed.
Now it's time to tear apart your your statement about classical music, which is just hilarious! :stongue: Actually, I do listen to classical music. Modern classical, stuff like Craig Armstrong. It's good stuff if you have an ear for music. Second of all, I do hear classical music at clubs...where the hell do you think "Adagio for Strings" is? The original classical piece was created by Samuel Barber and later updated by William Orbit for the electronica world. From there many electronica artists have remixed it, including Tiesto. I also believe that trance and some electronica could be considered today's classical music or even futuristic classical.
So next time you try to argue, please research your information a little more before you start your rant. |
