as for you, "StarChild"...i guess nobody ever told you that humor is subjective. as a matter of fact plenty of people like this particular comic, although i have found that most who do actually KNOW a dj like this (just like i do). obviously you don't, probably because you don't have any friends due to your emotional problems and you are probably too busy painting your room pink and fantasizing about being a shooting star or something. I apologize for taking up all of 2 seconds of your precious time. I will forever regret taking those 3 hours to draw this comic, because it offended your Extreme Starriness. i sure hope you can forgive me, cuz God knows how much I value your opinion! oh yeah!
thanks for everyone who left feedback, i work very hard on the comix, the only payment i get is making people smile, and that's good enough for me. :) |

the reason for my comment is simple
i am anti-elitest
TA is not supposed to be about makin fun of ppl who like other genres etc... and this comic does exactly that makes fun of another style of djing/music
leave them alone honestly, we are no better then they are, by them i am refering to djs who spin played out hip hop and freestyle gino beats
let them be, we have our scene and they have theres
but when ppl like you do like that, it makes our scene look even worse
and on another note, i dont take any offense to your starchild comments.
once again the paint skills are amazing but the actual comic is garbage, my opinion im entitled to it, sorry if i hurt your feelings
ps. i didnt say you are a bad person, or make fun of your nickname or taglines, yet you do this to me. LOL |

do you see yet? i would like to know how that comic has made fun of hip hop and freestyle djs. actually none of my comix have made fun of other-style djs. this particular comic makes fun of talentless djs who are full of themself and in it for teh chix. if you knew anything at all about dj'ing, you would understand this 3 ways. first, teh songs that are picked are common and way overplayed. this is not a mark of a good dj. 2nd, all he does if flick the xfader. no vfaders, no eqs. Again, let me remind you it's a DEEEE JAAAAY comic. third, he thinks he is a god for threading 2 songs together. again, not a sign of a good dj.
i know djs like this, and most people who find this comic funny also do. I am not making a pretense of these comix being really funny to non-djs. they are mostly inside jokes.
also, yes, you did insult me and the others who liked the comic. calling us losers and morons for finding a joke funny is ignorant. i didn't appreciate it, and i'm sure the other's weren't exactly enlightened either. |

good enough? ok i don't want to have to defend my hard work anymore. not like you freakin paid to see the thing. so i get really pissed when people say something malicious about them, like they commissioned me to do it for 500 bucks or something. geeeez, no reason to be an about a damn comic. |

Although, I didn't burst out laughing after reading those comics, I do find that they have humour in them and I enjoy seeing them and the result of some hard-work put into it

as for the thing about making fun of other people's genres, I don't think it is making fun of other ppl's genres, it is mainly making fun of the cocky DJ's who think they are a god at DJing by flicking the xfader...
I've heard a lot of talented hip-hop DJ's and turntablists who play commercial music but I still respect them because even though I don't really enjoy their music, I think they do have a lot of talent... |
